ADMISSIONS POLICY

Applying is the first step toward becoming a student here! At RRCC, we have an open admissions policy. You will not be refused admission based on race, sex, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, disability, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, sexual orientation, or membership or activity in a local commission. 

You may apply for admission to RRCC if:
* you have graduated from high school or the equivalent
* you are a General Education Development (GED) certificate holder
* you are a current high school student meeting the Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) requirements

A lack of English skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation. If you do not have these documents, you may also apply when you meet Ability to Benefit criteria.

There is a one-time, non-refundable application fee of $20 that should be included when you submit your application for admission to the college.

New Students: Online application option
The Online application is for new students only. If you do not have a MnSCU user account, you will be asked to create one prior to completing the online application. Please be sure to print your high school release form while completing the application. If you’ve attended or applied to Rainy River before, please reactive your account by following the steps outlined in option two below.

New, Transfer or Returning Students: Printable Application option to complete & mail  Application for Admission: (PDF)

You may apply to Rainy River Community College by using this downloadable PDF application form. If you have applied to or attended Rainy River Community College in a previous term, this is the application for you! You will reactivate your account by printing and completing this application. Login to your account periodically to check the status of your application. You will receive a letter from us shortly after submitting your application.

Admission to Rainy River Community College does not automatically qualify you for all RRCC courses and programs; some courses in both career and transfer programs require prerequisite classes.
