Student Testing And Registration - STAR
STAR
RAINY RIVER COMMUNITY COLLEGE
After you have applied and been accepted to Rainy River Community College, sign up for Student Testing And Registration - STAR.STUDENT TESTING (CPT):
- The CPT is an on-line test that determines your current skill level in reading, English, and math.
- You cannot "pass" or "fail" the placement tests, but it is very important that you do your very best on these tests so that you will have an accurate measure of your academic skills. If your CPT results recommend pre-college level courses in reading, English, and/or math, you will be required to take these prior to enrolling in college level courses.
- Study and review resources are available at: http://www.courseplacement.project.mnscu.edu/
- Click on Accuplacer Review Websites on the left side to find links for your review.
REGISTRATION:
- New students will register for their first semester during their STAR session.
- The courses you will take depend on how you score on your CPT and your intended major. If you are uncertain about a major, don't worry - Advisors are available to help you!
- Advisors will also teach you how to use e-Services, register on-line, change your schedule on-line, check grades, make payments, etc.
These are the upcoming STAR dates and times.
