SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS
RAINY RIVER COMMUNITY COLLEGE

SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are available to students who demonstrate outstanding academic ability, exceptional talent, financial need, or a combination of these and other factors. These are awards supported by Rainy River Community College Foundation, organizations, alumni, and friends of the college. Over $75,000 per year is awarded locally by the college scholarship committee. Scholarships range from $100 to $2,500. To apply, send a completed application to the RRCC scholarship committee.

Scholarship donors often specify additional stipulations regarding eligibility. Examples of stipulations are: student receives little or no other form of financial aid; single parent, local high school graduate; majoring in a specific field. Awards are determined by the College Scholarship Committee under the leadership of the Financial Aid Director.

To apply for a scholarship online, complete the scholarship application which discusses your major field of study, and why you believe you are a good candidate for consideration. List your high school and year of graduation and any school or community activities in which you have been involved. Also provide two references. Be sure to include your name, address, social security number, and year in college. For more information on scholarship opportunities or a scholarship application, contact Scott Riley, Financial Aid Director.
