WEATHER EMERGENCIES

In times of cases of severe weather the college Provost or designee will assess current conditions and decide to close or delay opening of the college. Some weather conditions that will be assessed include: extremely cold temperatures; high winds; dense fog; precipitation in amounts would cause road washouts; large amounts of snow accumulation, icy surfaces, limited visibility or a combination of the above.

CLOSING THE COLLEGE:
When the college is closed all operations other than those deemed essential by the college Provost will be shut down. All classes and student activities will be canceled.All general college offices will be closed. Only employees deemed essential will report for work. All other employees are excused.

DELAYED OPENING:
When opening the college is delayed all operations seize for a designated period of time. All classes and student activities will be delayed until the designated start time. Opening of all general college offices will be delayed.

CANCELLATIONS:
The decision to
cancel one, several or all classes will be made by the college Provost or designee according to current conditions. When classes are canceled the college is not closed and college offices will be open.

When possible decisions to cancel classes will be made by 7:00 a.m. and decisions to cancel evening classes will be made by 3:00 p.m. An announcement of the closing/delayed opening will be available in the Announcements section of the college website when possible.
